Graduate Diploma of Applied Sports Science (Currently Studying - Deakin University)

Walid initially began his professional career as an electrical and electronic engineer until deciding to make the switch to a career in nutrition and applied sports science, something he is extremely passionate about. His favorite sports are bodybuilding, rugby and freestyle wrestling.

Over the last 7 years he has worked with recreational and competitive athletes across a multitude of sports, physically and/or nutritionally preparing them for competition. He believes that unlike in engineering, there are no absolutes in nutrition and applied sports science, rather most solutions are dynamic and operate on a continuum, hence the name of his business Continuum Sports Performance.

Walid comes from a family of athletes, most notably Ali and Bilal Abdo who have collectively represented Australia in 3 Olympic games and several national and international competitions, making them one of the most successful wrestlers in Australian wrestling history. Walid actively competes in freestyle wrestling and aspires to compete at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games in 2026.
